Comfy Jumpsuit + Destroyed Denim Jacket (AND…Maya’s 1st day of Pre-K!!)

Yes, for those of you in the know…Maya’s 1st day of school was 2 weeks ago.  Yes, I am just now getting around to blogging the pictures we took…

Truth be told.  I actually forgot that I hadn’t blogged them yet-whoops!  I posted a sneak peek on Instagram on her first day, and then…well, life’s been a whirlwind.

So…I decided to basically wear pajamas on her first day haha.

Seriously, this jumpsuit is SO comfy!!blog-three-dots-romper-3x1-denim-jacket-saltwater-sandals-1 blog-three-dots-romper-3x1-denim-jacket-saltwater-sandals-2 It’s hilarious.  Now when I’m trying to get pictures of just me, she wants to jump in them!

I thought I’d finally jump on the bandwagon and do the yearly questions to see how Maya’s answers change.

(All answers straight from her.)

What’s your favorite color?
🌈Red, orange, blue, gray, purple, and silver and gold.

What’s your favorite thing you did this summer?
🏈 Flag football.

What’s your favorite food?
🍝Spaghetti and meatballs, 🍟french fries, 🌯sandwiches, and 🍎apples but only if they’re really dark red. 😂

What do you want to be when you grow up?
🎤 A ROCKSTAR!

What’s your favorite thing to do?
I just like to eat food…😏

Then Maya got to pick a question and she chose….
What’s your favorite flower?
🌸A cherry blossom, because they smell soooo good!

God, I love this kid! A quick trip to Whistler…

Well, if you read this post, you know already that our trip to Whistler almost ended before it began!  After a whirlwind 18 hours, a shiny new passport, and a departure date 6.5 hours later than anticipated…we were off!

Since it was going to be such a quick trip (only one full day and then Sunday morning for a few hours), I almost didn’t bring my camera.  I really wanted to make sure I was enjoying the moment vs trying to capture it.  It’s a hard balance, but I also knew that I’d feel like I was missing a limb if I didn’t bring it.  So, I compromised and decided to just bring one lens.

BIG COMPROMISE!  haha.

I did take a lot of videos and linked to a few throughout.  Sorry in advance for my annoying laugh and voice!

We ended up getting into Whistler around 9:30pm.  If you’ve ever been (and come from the PNW or Vancouver), you know that while the drive there is STUNNING, the roads are very curvy, and Canadians drive over the speed limit!  And…I say this as an admitted lead foot, who’s married to even more of a lead foot!

All that said…note to self.  Don’t give your toddler a movie to watch in the back seat on a very long curvy freeway.  ESPECIALLY after she’s eaten a garlic kale salad (the one time in my life I curse the fact that my 4 year old LOVES kale salads!)… Need I say more?  ;{

Thankfully there was a washer and dryer on our floor!  And…a bath!

But…it did take a while to wind down after all that…(video here) 🙂

Blog WhislterWe stayed at the Westin Resort & Spa, which is located right in the heart of Whistler Village, and as a FYI, we never once got our car out of the garage the entire time-SCORE!

The next day we got up bright and early, had breakfast at our hotel, and then walked over to the gondola that’s only a few minutes walk away.  We really wanted to take Maya on the Peak to Peak Gondola.

You catch the first gondola in the village, and then ride it up to the top of Whistler Blackcomb.  Since it was summer, and not as busy, we got a gondola to ourselves going up… Blog Whistler 8-2016-1While, there’s no snow, there are a ton of dirt trails and a LOT of dirt bike riders.  It was super impressive to watch from the gondola!  They even do lessons, just like ski lessons! Then we got ready to go out to dinner.  Oddly, I didn’t take any pics!  SAY WHAT!???

Honestly, one of my favorite shots!  Love that she’s looking at the Huz til the end! 🙂Blog Whistler 8-2016-21 Jumping in to get rings!Blog Whistler 8-2016-22The next morning, we had breakfast again at the hotel and then walked over to the Nintendo Family Adventure Zone, which was SO COOL!!!!  It’s open from June 18 – September 5, 2016, and I highly recommend it if you are going with kids between the ages of 4-12(?).   Maybe even older!

I took a TON of videos-some of which can be seen here, (sorry about my annoying laugh and voice!).

Here’s a few from my phone…

Ummmmm, are you kidding me??!!!  She LOVED THIS, and went on it twice!

I went on, and went about half this high haha.  BUT…I did backward flips, so that counts for something, right?  At 42!  RIGHT?!  Obviously, I’m still feeling a little silly that my 4 year old bounced higher than I did… ;(Blog Family Adventure Zone-1 This…she wasn’t so great at, but this guy was super nice and rode on it with her to avoid crashing every 3 seconds 😉Blog Family Adventure Zone-2Sadly, after three hours, we had to call it quits and head back.  I will also say that they have a little farmer’s market there and we got some delicious fruit before we left!

Here’s one last picture I took with my phone as we were driving home…seriously, GORGEOUS!

Blog Whistler DriveWhile it was a very short visit, it did the job of recharging our batteries a bit, and of course…celebrating our anniversary 🙂

If you’ve never been to Whistler, I HIGHLY recommend it.  It’s amazing both in the winter and summer, and we can’t wait for our next trip!

Classic…White Top + Denim (And…chasing the golden hour)

We escaped to Whistler BC over the weekend to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary (which is TODAY!!), and it was AMAZING!!  The trip started off rocky… We had originally planned to leave first thing Friday morning.  The night before, as I was packing, I got out my passport.  EXPIRED!!  UM…. Long story short.  Lots of frustrated tears on my part.  I felt so stupid for letting it expire, and not checking sooner.  I was SO bummed that we wouldn’t be able to get away, because a) Anniversary b) the Huz has been working 70+ hour work weeks, and I’ve been working a lot too. c) Maya was so excited to go back up!  Through all my crying and being upset, Maya was a total positive rock!

“Mommy, come here and give me a hug.  I will make you happy again!!”

Not once did she get upset that the trip was cancelled (or so we thought).  I ended up calling the 24 hour passport hotline, and got myself an apt at the Seattle Passport Agency the next morning.  I drove to our local drugstore and got my new passport photo taken at 9:30 at night (all red puffy eyes and all-sweet….).  I drove down a few hours early of my apt and got there right when they opened.  They took me early, and I was in and out in 30 minutes.  I was told to come back at 2pm and pick up my new passport!  Well…I ended up having to wait an hour and a half, BUT…a new passport in 7 hours??!!!  I was BEYOND THANKFUL!  We ended up getting into Whistler around 9, but had the best day and a half after that!!  Maya didn’t want to leave 🙂

ALL THAT ASIDE…here are some pictures I took the week before we left…

If there is one combo that stands the test of time, it’s a white top with denim.

You can dress it up, you can dress it down, it looked good in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s (ok, you get my drift)  It still looks good now, and it’s a constant fall back for me when I don’t want to think about what I’m wearing.Blog Marc Jacobs Top Current Elliott String Bean Salt Water Sandals-1 Blog Marc Jacobs Top Current Elliott String Bean Salt Water Sandals-2 Blog Marc Jacobs Top Current Elliott String Bean Salt Water Sandals-3My creative energy was renewed after our last outing during the golden hour a few days earlier.

Happy Mother’s Day to me (take 2!)

Lucky me got to celebrate Mother’s Day twice!  Once with my parents the weekend before, before they left on a trip, and then again on the actual day!

It’s the one day I can talk the Huz into pictures, and I’m not ashamed to say I take advantage of it every year!

So…this year was totally low key.  My parents were out of the country.  The boys were with their mom, I didn’t schedule any shoots, so…the day was…OPEN.  In other words.  HEAVEN!

The Huz secretly washed my car inside and out in the morning while me and Maya took a long walk along the beach.

Midday, I still wasn’t sure if pictures were going to happen.  I’d like to say, I prepared the Huz, but…I didn’t.  SO…last minute.  The weather cooperated, and I casually suggested it.  Before I’d even taken a shower.  He said “Of course” as if he’d expected it.  Because… 🙂

So, I asked Maya what she wanted to wear.  She picked a dress, and I planned accordingly.  It was a dress I’d been dying for her to wear!  I got a little excited, and planned our outfits to match.

THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY WORK!!!

Then… the dress she  picked was “TOO ITCHY!!!!”  Literally, I was dressed, because I wait until the last minute to get dressed.

“WAIT!  I’ll cut the tag!”

“STILL ITCHY!!”

“How about if we put a slip under the dress!”  (because randomly, I have a toddler slip!!?)

We put the slip on.

“Ok, I want to wear THIS!”

“MAYA!  It’s a slip.  A, you will be TOO cold!  B, you have to wear something over it.  Maybe a sweater?  A jacket?”

“NO!  THIS DRESS!  I mean, slip!”

UGH…

“Pick something else.  ANYTHING ELSE!” (ok, any of the 3 other dresses that somewhat go with what I chose to wear to go with the FIRST dress you chose! ;))

But…I’m still wearing this.  Which perfectly went with the dress she picked at first, and thankfully went with the 4th pick that I showed her.

It was SUPER windy when I was trying to take pics of myself, so…that’s why I only posted one!

Believe….I Can Do That.

This has been ingrained in me ever since I was little.  It has helped me accomplish a lot of things in life, simply because…I believed I could do that.  Some of that was because I couldn’t afford to pay someone else to do what I wanted, but once you have that mindset, I truly believe anything is possible… It’s so important to me, that I actually have it tattooed on the inside of my arm.  What better message could I have Maya see on the daily?

I’ve been debating how personal I wanted to make this post.  I try and keep things pretty light and fun, mainly because I want Maya to look back on this, and have a reminder of how much fun we had.  Well…the last 6 months or so have not been light and fun.  It’s been one major thing after another stresswise.  I remember one night, my husband and I were sitting on the couch having a glass of wine and we started laughing at the absurdity of it all.  Like….is THIS it??!!  Have we turned the corner YET??  Well, on a few things, yes.  On some others, not quite yet.

ALL THAT TO SAY…I have not been as healthy as I normally like to be.  Some people don’t eat in times of stress, but that is NOT me!!  I still have been working out 4-5 days a week (hello, stress reliever!!), but if I wasn’t…I’d for sure be 15-20 lbs heavier vs only 5.  I’ve been eating a lot more junk, snacking way more than normal, and drinking more than I should…

Well, I’ve had it.  It’s not the weight so much, because really…I go up and down 5 lbs even when I’m not stressed 🙂  I’m so tired of being exhausted all the time, my stomach not feeling so great, and waking up puffy and bloated… I started thinking about doing a juice cleanse.  I’m not even sure I’d have the willpower to do a full cleanse, but I thought maybe I’d sub in some healthy juice for all the crappy snacking I was doing!  I looked into a few different companies, but started getting overwhelmed with options.

I kid you not.  A few weeks later I was contacted by Suja Juice!  They asked if I’d be interested in trying some of their juices!!  Um, hello universe!!  You sure do work in mysterious ways.  I couldn’t believe the timing!  They were ridiculously generous, and sent me a lot of YUMMY juices to try.  Previously, I’ve always been against drinking juice, because it seemed like empty calories.  I’d rather just eat the fruit!!  BUT…there are so many delicious fruits, vegetables, and nutrients packed into these, that I didn’t feel guilty at all.

SO…I’m determined.  I am going to get my diet and health back on track.  And I don’t mean I’m going on a diet.  I just want to feel good again!  I want to have energy!  I can totally do that!! 🙂

This one, Uber Greens has Uber Greens– cucumber, celery, grapefruit, green chard, green leaf lettuce, lemon, kale, spinach, parsley, peppermint tea & spearmint tea!!  And…it’s only 50 calories!  It was totally refreshing, and I felt great after drinking it. Blog Suja Juice Dit-Elle-1 This one was one of my favorites!!  Twilight Protein.  It’s more like yummy smoothie!!  The added protein is great if you work out, or even if you don’t! 😉Blog Suja Juice Dit-Elle-2I’m not going to list them all…  Truth be told, there was one “Greens” drink that I had to make myself choke down.  Hey…all in the name of honesty, right??  BUT…this Berry Goodness, was just that.  YUM! Blog Suja Juice Dit-Elle-3SO…. I thought I might hold myself more accountable if I put this out there.  I’m determined to get back on track, and I can’t thank Suja Juice enough for giving me some tools to make that happen!!  They didn’t ask me to write this post, and if all the juices had been horrible or gave me a stomach ache, I absolutely wouldn’t be singing their praise!!

I’m still totally new to working juices into my diet, so I’d love to hear from anyone who has done it successfully!!

Non Candy Valentines with DIY Heart Glitter Cards

Daunted by the DIY Pinterest Valentine’s Day projects that you’ve been seeing??  Yeah, I feel ya.  We made play-do last year last year, and…we had a lot of fun!!  But…this year?  I didn’t have time!!  As most of you don’t!  If you do have time?  Totally make the play do!  It’s still in our fridge a year later, smells yummy, and we still play with it!  BUT…if you want something a tad bit easier…

You can still have your preschooler/kindergartner totally involved in Valentine’s Day projects even if they aren’t totally diy!  You can make them into a diy craft by involving them in the process!  I bought all my supplies from a Dollar Tree, spent less than $7, and involved Maya in every step of the way!  She helped pick out what we should buy (at $1 each, it was easy to say yes, but admittedly afterwards, I felt like we went overboard spending $7!)

Honestly, this would be a great idea for a birthday party parting bag (at least, I think so!).  At less than $1 per kid?!!?  Yet, lots of fun an useful things…score!Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-1Two years ago, we made DIY Glitter Hearts for Valentine’s Day.  I remembered them being so easy, and that she had so much fun doing them, so we decided to not recreate the wheel.  Isn’t that the best advice ever?!!  WHY RECREATE THE WHEEL??? This year, Maya wrote her name all by herself on the back of each card.  An upgrade + Kind of a milestone! Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-2I’m including links below to pretty much the exact same thing I bought for $1 each, but if you don’t have a Dollar Tree near you and want to put something similar together from Amazon…

What you need…

For the Valentine Bags

Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card

OR…I found a pack on Amazon that was kind of similar to what I put together.

Online Pack

What to do…

  • Yes.  You could assemble all these together yourself, and just have your preschooler work on the cards, but I wanted Maya to have a little more ownership since we weren’t doing a DIY craft for the actual Valentine.  SO, we turned it into a craft
  • She laid out how many bags that were in her class and counted them out (there were 25 in the bag, so we had some left over).Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-3
  • Then she put one of each item into each bag.Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-4 Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-5 Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-6
  • The bags came with end ties, so I tied them together with the cards at the end 🙂

For the Heart Cards

  • Card stock paper/water color paper, or I used a cardboard insert that had come in clothes I’ve bought online/t-shirts I buy for the Huz.  Yes, I save everything just in case.  Yes, I was so excited to finally use some of my hoarded craft supplies! 😉
  • Glue
  • Glitter
  • Hole Punch
  • Large sheet of aluminum foil for easy clean up
  • Cookie sheet or empty box (to contain the glitter bomb and glue :))

What you do…

  • Since we were doing this for Valentine’s Day, I cut little hearts out. You could do circles, or just squares/rectangles if you wanted to make cards for a different occasion.
  • Put the “cards” on a lined cookie sheet/box and let your toddler drizzle glue all over them.Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-7
  • Then, while glue is still wet, have them go to town with the glitter!Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-8I shook all the excess of some cards onto others so that the glitter was evenly distributed. Blog Non Candy Preschool Valentine Bags DIY Glitter Heart Card-9
  • Once the glue is dry, punch a hole in the corner and tie to the bags.

Leather Jacket + Blanket Cardigan + Skinnies + Booties…the perfect travel outfit.

So, I’m going to see just how long I can make my titles haha.  I could have titled this “What I wore on the airplaine”, but that sounds so boring.

I know that I’ve been posting less “adventures” lately, but…let’s be real.  It’s super hard to lug a tripod and my camera along on our adventures now that Maya is really adventurous!  And it’s been COLD.  And we aren’t really that used to the cold, so playing in the upper 30’s with 20+ mph winds has not been too fun.

Keeping it Real…
When I shoot around our neighborhood, chances are…my neighbors are walking by-awkward!!  Except my actual neighbor, who knows what I’m doing, and knows…just keep doing what YOU’RE doing!  More often than not, I get really cute pictures of Maya and her boys, so it’s all good. Well, in a few of the above shots, I may have removed my neighbor playing ball with her boys 😉  Oh, and the wind…was once again, out of control.  Everyone thinks that Seattle is all about rain, but when you live near the water…it’s all about the wind too!Blog outtake

Dressing Maxi Dresses + Booties for Fall // Thanksgiving 2015

I’ve been wanting to wear this dress with booties for a while since I bought it.  I don’t know why, but it screamed booties to me!  I’m sure, come summer, it will scream sandals/flip flops, because this is such a versatile dress!

The Huz generously stepped away from smoking our turkey and taking care of various other things so that we could all step away and take some pictures.

Of course…a few of me.Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties- Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-1 Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-3Then my sister in law took a few of us, which is RARE! Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-4 It’s not very often I get this guy in front of the camera! Honestly, part of that is because he’s constantly busting his ass for me and the 3 kidddos. He’s the yin to my yang and is constantly keeping me loved and sane!  Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe…Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-5 And then I grabbed these with the self timer and tripod…Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-6 Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-7 Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-8 I am thankful for…your morning snuggles (usually the best part of my day), all the other kisses and hugs that get me through the day, the out of nowhere laughter you bring with your amazing wit, the way you keep me on my toes (as your teacher said “Never a dull moment with that one huh?”, the fact that you will lay by my desk chair and color happily while I edit (love having you close, watching your skills improve, while I get to work), the fact that every time I drop you off somewhere, you happily say good bye then say “WAIT! I need a hug and a kiss!!!” Sometimes twice 😍, but…. Most of all, I’m so thankful I get to be your Mama and get to watch you become he amazing little girl that you are. Blog Gap Denim Jacket Three Dots Seam Detail Maxi Dress Cafe Noire Booties-9I barely got any of Maya alone, because she was so overwhelmed with family!! So…one of the main reasons I take images with a self timer, is that I know when it’s going to be taken.  I can situate myself.  I can look off in the direction of light that is good.  I have made sure my outfit is aligned (it most often IS NOT!).  It’s a control freak’s DREAM!  A lot of times things look like this….aka behind the scenes or when the Huz is just snapping away 😉Blog Outtake(Images of just me and Maya taken with a self timer and tripod, but ones of me and me and the Huz were taken by my sister in law and Huz-manual camera settings set by me :)-)

Halloween 2015

I’d be lying if I said the journey leading up to this year’s Halloween was an easy one.  It was quite possibly the most stressful and tense time Maya and I have had together.  The end result was her loving her costume and having the time of her life, and I truly hope that is ALL SHE REMEMBERS.Blog DIY Unicorn Horn Halloween Costume-1I’ll backtrack a little… October is hands down the busiest time for me at work, so I knew I wanted to get a jump start on Maya’s Halloween costume, so that I wouldn’t be scrambling and stressed out.  SO…we went to 3 different thrift stores in the beginning of October.  Maya has very strong opinions (NO idea where she gets that from ;))  We finally found a super cool pirate costume.  It wasn’t cheesy and cheap, like some costumes, and…it was PURPLE (Maya’s favorite color-WIN!!)  The minute we got home, she tried it on and ran downstairs to show daddy.

“DADDY!!  I’m a pirate!! Aaaaaaaaaargh!!!”

My momma heart was happy, and I did a silent fist pump for being all done with Halloween so soon!  The weeks leading up to Halloween, whenever people would ask her what she was going to be- “A pirate!!!  Aaaaaaargh!!”

Then…the Sunday before Halloween.  Three days before her preschool Halloween party.

“I don’t want to be a pirate!  I want to be a GHOST!”

Insert my face falling to the floor…We went back and forth, but she was stuck.  So…I started getting excited.  I still had 3 days.  I envisioned a really cool ghost costume with a bunch of white tulle, and a really cool painted face.  She could still wear a leather jacket to keep warm and it would totally still fit in with a “ghost” look.  YAY, I could do this!

“No…I want to be a PLAIN ghost!!”

Well, the forecast for Halloween was lots of rain and SUPER WINDY.  A sheet thrown over her with holes cut into it wasn’t going to fly.  Or, I guess I should say, it WOULD have flown.  Right off her body.  SO…sat in front of the computer and looked, and looked at ghost images.  Ones that involved layers.  She wasn’t buying it.

Then…the night before her party I start scrambling through costumes we already have.  Basically every single princess you can imagine has been handed down to her.  NOPE.  Two different kinds of Minnie Mouse outfits.  She actually got excited about one, until she tried it on.  “TOO ITCHY, GET IT OFF!!”

Then a witch.  I can do that!  Nope, never mind.  A bee?  Yes…no.  Wonder Woman (another little girl in her class was going as this, and her mom KILLED IT) I vetoed.  NO TIME!  A few other super heroes.  NO TIME!!!!  Me-how about Super Kitty?  Yes, I want to be SUPER KITTY.

My parents had gotten her a mask from Venice -“Super” part, DONE.  Whiskers drawn on with black eyeliner.  3 yards of tulle wrapped around her and a giant bow as her tail, plus a jacket that kept her warm.  DONE!!  And she was happy-YAY!!!Blog Halloween 2015-2 Blog Halloween 2015-3 Blog Halloween 2015-4 Blog Halloween 2015-5 Blog Halloween 2015-6Then…the day after her party (TWO DAYS before Halloween!!!).

“I don’t want to be Super Kitty.”

The whole process all over again with about 4-5 more ideas.  Finally on Friday, she says.  I want to be Darkmare Moon!!!  Huh?  I googled it, and nothing came up. Then I see an image of black My Little Pony, and she points and says “THAT!!!!  That’s Darkmare Moon!!”  Oh…Nightmare Moon.  So, we spend about 30 minutes looking at pictures to make sure she REALLY wanted to be Darkmare Moon, and then we head out in search of black wings.  I figured I could keep the same basic black costume, add wings, do a different tulle tail, switch out the jacket for a black one, and then make a horn.  Noooo problem-the day before Halloween.  Honestly, it wasn’t that big of a problem.  We found some super cool wings right away at a thrift store.  I knew I had to work most of Saturday, so I needed to finish the horn Friday night.

I did a variation of the tulle bow, but added a few more colors.  Insert meltdown when the tail wasn’t long enough.  “I want it to floooooat.”  Deep breath in….deep breath out.  Ok.  I had to give it to her.  It did actually look better that way.

I was half way through making the black tulle unicorn horn at about 7pm (after about 3 failed attempts), and Maya goes…”I want to be a RED unicorn!”  And I lost it.  Like had to walk away and hide in the kitchen and cry lost it.  I should also mention that the Huz was out of town this whole time, and again…I’m totally overwhelmed at work, so it wasn’t all the costume changes.  And there were a lot of other things that happened, but this blog post is long enough as it is.  Maya came running in crying too, saying she was sorry and that she just wanted me to be her best friend again.  CRUSHED MY HEART.  We just sat in the kitchen hugging.  I kept telling her, that I just wanted her to be happy.  I wanted her to have an amazing Halloween, and I wanted her to get to be what she wanted, but that she needed to decide and stick with it.  Ok.

After that, it was smooth sailing.  She was super excited about her costume, and had the BEST time trick or treating and telling everyone “I’m DARKMARE MOON!!!” haha.

And it was all worth it.

You can see how I made the unicorn horn here.Blog DIY Unicorn Horn Halloween Costume-2I wish I’d had more time paint her face, but it was a race from the time I got home from work at4:00  til the time it started pouring.   She liked it, which is all that matters!  You can see it raining in the background if you look closely…Blog DIY Unicorn Horn Halloween Costume-3 Blog DIY Unicorn Horn Halloween Costume-4 Then after trick or treating…with sucker and a witch finger 🙂Blog DIY Unicorn Horn Halloween Costume-5 Blog DIY Unicorn Horn Halloween Costume-6And…my last minute costume.  The hat lasted one house before it blew off too many times, and no…I didn’t wear these boots trick or treating 😉 Blog Halloween 2015-1Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!dit-elle-Lauren
