I’ve been wanting to wear this dress with booties for a while since I bought it.  I don’t know why, but it screamed booties to me!  I’m sure, come summer, it will scream sandals/flip flops, because this is such a versatile dress!

The Huz generously stepped away from smoking our turkey and taking care of various other things so that we could all step away and take some pictures.

Of course…a few of me. Then my sister in law took a few of us, which is RARE! It’s not very often I get this guy in front of the camera! Honestly, part of that is because he’s constantly busting his ass for me and the 3 kidddos. He’s the yin to my yang and is constantly keeping me loved and sane!  Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe… And then I grabbed these with the self timer and tripod… I am thankful for…your morning snuggles (usually the best part of my day), all the other kisses and hugs that get me through the day, the out of nowhere laughter you bring with your amazing wit, the way you keep me on my toes (as your teacher said “Never a dull moment with that one huh?”, the fact that you will lay by my desk chair and color happily while I edit (love having you close, watching your skills improve, while I get to work), the fact that every time I drop you off somewhere, you happily say good bye then say “WAIT! I need a hug and a kiss!!!” Sometimes twice 😍, but…. Most of all, I’m so thankful I get to be your Mama and get to watch you become he amazing little girl that you are. I barely got any of Maya alone, because she was so overwhelmed with family!! This one of her and her cousin is so freaking cute though!Honestly, I got a lot of other cute ones, but I often feel weird about sharing other family member’s images on here that haven’t really signed up for public sharing…

On me…

So…one of the main reasons I take images with a self timer, is that I know when it’s going to be taken.  I can situate myself.  I can look off in the direction of light that is good.  I have made sure my outfit is aligned (it most often IS NOT!).  It’s a control freak’s DREAM!  A lot of times things look like this….aka behind the scenes or when the Huz is just snapping away 😉(Images of just me and Maya taken with a self timer and tripod, but ones of me and me and the Huz were taken by my sister in law and Huz-manual camera settings set by me :)-)
