My style is definitely more Alexis, but I was still excited about this one. I got even more excited when I realized Maya had to most perfect outfit! And so began my plot to convince her to take pics for it!

I scored it on @ebay a while ago, and was just waiting for the chance to go out in public again! Well….that’s still not happening. Unless you consider Maya and I driving around for 30 minutes to find a spot that looked relatively vacant… And we of course brought our masks to grab whenever someone walked up (swipe to see!)

“Mix Prints”

Whew…this one was kind of hard for me… I’m not much of a print person, unless it’s stripes or animal print, and honestly…I feel like those are just neutrals!

I decided to stay in my comfort zone and just go with the same color family.

AND…all the stars aligned and I convinced Maya to run out and take some pics during her school lunch break! I literally just threw a printed dress and leather jacket over what she was already wearing!

I’m honestly bummed that I’m not leaving the house and that nobody will see this! Well, except for here.

OMG, I am SOOOO ready to go on vacation!!!  I want to wear ALL the summer hats, feel the SUN on my face.  It’s been TOO LONG.
We are in constant work mode on various properties.
Are we SO lucky to have those properties?  YES!!  Is it a LOT of work?  Also yes.

We’ve cancelled 7 vacations during Covid, and I’m SO over it.
I know I’m SO fortunate to even have HAD a vacation scheduled, but…for me… I can handle a lot.  I can handle not doing things when it’s planned.
What I can’t handle well, is something planned and then taken away.  Last minute change is not something I deal with well, and…It’s been our life lately.  ON REPEAT!
So…you can just imagine my mental state….for all the days lately.

SO…the waistband of this is not conducive to the tiny belt that comes with it!  So…I knew I wouldn’t use it with the jumpsuit.  I tied it in my hair again, but tried the jumpsuit on it’s own at first…

And, me taking off my glasses after I got all the focusing locked in.  At some point, I’ll wear my glasses all the time on here.  BUT…spoiler alert…not for a few years HAHA!

So…this was the outfit I wore out to dinner with my parents and the Huz on 2-29-2020

Yes…it was a Leap Year.
•
It was also the last dinner out we had before going into isolation. We had talked about it as a family, but the gravity of it hadn’t hit me yet. The Huz had been talking about it for a while…and I just couldn’t deal with it. It was before anyone was thinking of doing anything here!
•
We talked about it being our last dinner out for a while, and we tried not to think about it, and enjoy it. And…well, if you know my parents…we did. We ordered pretty much the entire menu at Il Nido.
•
Sadly, that was the last time I spent in close proximity with my parents… 😭 They are my best friends, and it’s been so hard. We stop by outside their house and chat with them every morning now (them on their balcony, us on the sidewalk)
•
This sucks!
•
BUT…I’ll do whatever it takes to keep them healthy. To keep my family healthy.
•
But, I’ll also jump in front of our house and take pics as long as I feel like that’s safe, because capturing us in this time gives me joy! Behind the scenes videos of us taking these are in stories!
•
And let’s be honest…we have to find joy where ever we can!!

I’m trying reeeeaaaaaally hard to take a shower every day (it doesn’t always happen-EW!!!), but when it does, I’m also trying to put on “real clothes” for the latter half of the day. For me…it sets my mindset. I’m having a hard enough time not being out in the world, so for me, at least getting dressed helps.

BUT….I cannot wear things that aren’t comfortable! I HAVE MY LIMITS! So, occasionally, we will play dress up for photos, but on the daily…I’m comfortable. •
Clothing that feels like jammies?? COUNT ME IN! •

 Yes, for those of you in the know…Maya’s 1st day of school was 2 weeks ago.  Yes, I am just now getting around to blogging the pictures we took…

Truth be told.  I actually forgot that I hadn’t blogged them yet-whoops!  I posted a sneak peek on Instagram on her first day, and then…well, life’s been a whirlwind.

So…I decided to basically wear pajamas on her first day haha.

🌈Red, orange, blue, gray, purple, and silver and gold.

🏈 Flag football.

🍝Spaghetti and meatballs, 🍟french fries, 🌯sandwiches, and 🍎apples but only if they’re really dark red. 😂

She was jumping up and down and waving her stick in front of the camera 🙂  Funny thing is that it just mad the picture a little fuzzier and darker.  LOVE playing with images, and she totally inspired me to try the trick on a shoot I had later that week!
