SO…the waistband of this is not conducive to the tiny belt that comes with it! So…I knew I wouldn’t use it with the jumpsuit. I tied it in my hair again, but tried the jumpsuit on it’s own at first…

It’s NOT flattering!!

It’s so odd to see the difference so blattenly here.

And, me taking off my glasses after I got all the focusing locked in. At some point, I’ll wear my glasses all the time on here. BUT…spoiler alert…not for a few years HAHA!

100th day of Isolation…
😳
I had all these thoughts of making this a special shoot, but then…dinner ran late, and we couldn’t really GO anywhere, so…. Here we are. Me in comfy clothes, Maya in her jammies! BUT…I had to document it.
🤷🏼‍♀️
Some know this, some do not, but…we pulled Maya out of school a week and a half before the rest of Seattle did…

For reasons that I won’t go into.

For the last 100 days, it’s been mostly us.

No play dates, unless you consider running into friends on a walk and running around the street at a distance… Maya laughing the entire time like it’s a birthday party.

Going to visit my parents every morning (who live a few blocks away)…us on the sidewalk, them on their balcony. Honestly, the highlight of our day. Maya runs from our house to get there early for more chatting time.

We have left the house twice in our car to go deliver something to a local friend.

From afar…

She’s handled everything like a complete trooper.

On the flip side…

We have…

Walked approximately 400 miles. Give or take. We take two walks a day and they vary…I’m not going to add up my “walks” on my watch…as tempted as I am.

Listened to SO many audiobooks while we walked, until Maya decided she didn’t want to listen to them anymore…and would rather talk about Minecraft and Roblox.

SO many homemade meals! I’ve excelled in the art of multi meal cooking! It takes longer, but….LEFTOVERS!

We started off learning Spanish, but…that’s fallen by the wayside…best intentions.

Homeschooling…well, that is a rollercoaster. We’ve had good days, we’ve had bad days…we are still both alive-WIN!!! Here’s hoping we can integrate ourselves back into society at some point….

Anyone else feel like they are riding the wave of emotions right now?
The last few days I’ve been an emotional basket case.
I’ve been cranky.
I’ve been overwhelmed.
It’s SPRING BREAK!
BTW, I was SO not going to tell Maya (judge me if you will) but we both do better with some structure and a schedule!
Then…We ran (literally she was on a run and we chased her down for a few blocks, I kid you not-I regret it now!) into M’s teacher. It was all sunshine and happiness, until her teacher said “I hope you enjoy the rest of SPRING BREAK!”

BUT…it’s FRIDAY! We made it through! I cried all my tears! Literally.

Spring casual… .OMG, edited to add…Fall casual??

The beauty of Seattle is that fall trends and spring trends sometimes can look the same! The trees are a lot greener here in these images than now in fall, but…whatever.

Can we just pretend?

I’m tired of only having special occasions on here! SOOO…this was back in spring when we took pics for fun.

When all she wants to remember is me yelling at her, I need proof of the fact that most of the time, we had fun and loved on each other.
One of the MANY things I love, is that she still always reaches for my hand. I’m sure the years are limited for that happening, but I will treasure it for as long as I can!!
She also still happily sits on my lap 🙂
Pretty much and every day occurence. NOT on my lap on the sidewalk!! But us laughing together, and it’s my favorite part of my day.

I had all these great intentions of blogging on our Mexico pics while we were on Christmas Break, but then reality and a never ending cold (I was seriously sick for the entire 2 1/2 weeks!!) kicked my ass, and…well.

I blogged nothing.

So, I’m catching up now, and hope to eventually also catch up on the pics I took from our LAST vacation to Los Cabos back during Spring Break 2018. Maybe for this next Spring Break?? Haha.

All in all, I’d love to do a write up of both places we stayed and what we did…eventually.

Until then.

A fairly simple comfy outfit. High wasited crops are my go to right now. So easy and comfy. These had a built in hem that was too short for my legs, so I let it out, and I LOVE THEM! Funny enough, the brand has an almost identical pair to these with the hems let out. Great minds and all…

And, while I like to tuck things into high waisted pants, it’s so much easier and more flattering to tie tops right at the waist!

No lumps! No fussing with retucking when you go potty-haha, yes, I went there!

Happy Labor Day!!

Honestly, we took these images almost two months ago, haha. BUT…I’m just now getting around to blogging them. Such is life these days.

If ever there was a summer uniform, this was mine… I’m a total sucker for an interesting twist on a plain t, and this asymmetrical hem totally hooked me! I’ve REALLY been wanting to do more golden hour shoots with Maya, but she’s not feeling it. SO…the best I can manage is to take her out in front of our house and play with the sun flare there.
