Mother’s Day 2015

Every year, both my mom and I ask for one thing on Mother’s Day. Pictures. The apple doesn’t fall far haha.

I got soooo much more though, and it truly was the perfect day. Maya and I started off going for a morning walk with my parents while the Huz got some work done (and snuck away to Pike Place to get both me and my mom gorgeous flowers!). Then, we took a little day trip to Snoqualmie Falls. Came home in time for Maya to “nap” 😉 while I got some work done, then my parents came over for an AMAZING dinner the Huz prepared. Couldn’t have asked for a better day…

I ditched the tripod and my mom got these of me and Maya before dinner.Btw, my entire outfit is thrifted, and the total cost was around $20! 🙂 This looks super sweet, but she’s just about to bite my nose haha. 😉 I could just eat her up!!!And then my dad got these of the three of us. That little smirk KILLS ME!!After dinner and a liiiittle wine, we all came back outside. I switched up Maya’s sweater so that she would match the Huz 🙂Dancing with Daddy 🙂The Huz finally got on the receiving end of Maya’s licking kisses 🙂And then my mom got a few of me and the Huz.LOVE this one.Yeah, Maya wanted nothing to do with getting in a pic with us.But you couldn’t get her OUT of the pictures I was trying to take of my parents hahaha. First of all…I am so not a dress girl, but I’m LOVING this dress I found at my local consignment shop. There’s something freeing about buying things with a credit you have. It’s like… “Why not?!” And then…I love it!!Yes, Maya is in the car next to me eating her lunch 🙂 She’s obsessed with popping my gum bubbles 🙂 Converse rule… 🙂And then….a little shoe change takes it from day to night! Btw…I didn’t take it from day to night haha. I stayed in the day… The idea was good though, no? AND…I’m thinking this might be my outfit for our family pictures?! Thoughts? Happy 4th of July!

Cannot wait for the 4th of July parade later today. I think this will be the first year that Maya really gets excited about it. She was still a little oblivious about it last year.

Pretty sure she still won’t be excited about the fireworks though…

The only “keeping it real” I have is that I am so busy with work that I don’t have much time for personal pictures. These were taken in about 15 minutes, and I was lucky to do that! Again, big thank you to my parents for watching the Peanut so much while I’m away!! Oh, and AMEN for children’s Zyrtek. FINALLY found something that worked on Maya’s hives that she’s been having for the past 6 days. Still hoping we don’t have to keep taking it for the long term…

Ever since I first blogged this shirt dress, I’ve been wanting to wear it over white jeans. Finally did it over the weekend, and I love how easy and comfy it was. But really, anything with white jeans is a win in my book 🙂Love these fun shoes. They’re from Forever21 for $12!“Ice skating Mom?!” Sure, why not 😉This stick’s name is “Goffrey” (named by Maya ;)). She found him on our morning walk earlier this week, and he has come on every walk since. Normally, she picks up sticks here and there, but then drops them or throws them in some body of water. They’ve never stuck with us for more than 30 minutes and certainly didn’t get named! Goffrey has stood the test of time! Kind of impressed. She even stops (muuuuuultiple times) to feed him grass, dirt, and leaves 🙂 And THEN! Goffrey needed a mate. SO…this is “Dita” Yes, she named them both, and we still have Dita on our front porch too! Summer Whites…

I’ve talked before on many posts about my love of white denim. I have no problem wearing them all year long, but there is something extra good about wearing them on a warm summer evening… I also love a good silk top, but they really aren’t all that practical or fun when you are playing with your kids-wrinkles (insert fist shake!) This top is 100% pure fine polyester haha 🙂 And you know what…NO WRINKLES (insert fist pump!)

See? Fist pump!! Ok, really…”Tickle me?!!” 🙂hahaha. This is such a Maya move right now. The little foot kick 🙂 I love that she will just bust out dancing in the middle of the sidewalk. I know that will change eventually, but I hope it’s not for a while…On me…

Seriously, these pants are so comfy, and they are so perfect when you need to wipe off mud from carrying your toddler! Showing off our Dancing with the Stars moves 😉 And…she’s off!! There was this little creek, and she kept running up to the path to get rocks to throw in it. Over, and over, and over… 🙂 “Rocks kissing” On me…
