My mood totally changes with how I want to dress…boho, edgy, rock, grunge…
The one look I’m not that comfortable in is preppy. I feel totally out of place. 🙈 BUT…add a studded belt, and some funky cut out platforms, and I feel ok. 🤣
This might also be in the running for Thanksgiving! And…both of our entire outfits are thrifted or from Ebay 🙌🏻🤑
Also, to keep this post extra disjointed and random 😂 I’m super thankful for a week off with this sweet nugget. ❤️❤️❤️ I may be having to squeeze work in here and there, but getting to hang with her all day is pretty awesome.

A glimpse into the future tween and teen years…

My same goofy girl that just wants to run in for a hug!

So….I took a picture of Maya and then my camera went wonky. It would take a picture, but wouldn’t show me what it took.
Now…I have a very nice camera (not bragging, it’s my job, and it was a gift from my parents), so when it goes wonky and won’t take pics, I freak out!
But…in my test shots, it took this. I didn’t have it on manual, so…weird.
YET…I LOVE IT!
And, love it even more, because my camera is back to normal!! NO idea if I inadvertently hit a button but…PHEW!

She loooooves to play with my phone.
It’s actually fun for me to go back and look at all the pictures and videos she’s taken on my phone! I complain about it and tell her NOT to…but…I secretly like it later.
The trigger on the top of my camera fell off, so she was like “Uh oh…no more pictures!”
I’ve realized that I’ve photographed these jeans repeatedly (ok, not sure I’ve posted them repeatedly yet, but they are coming!!)
My parents were watching Maya, so we took these when I went to drop her off. YES, I brought my camera and tripod haha. And when we showed up, my mom was unintentionally totally matching us!

The dinner we went to was at a friends house that lives a few blocks from us, but they went totally all out because it was an auction fundraiser.
Their backyard is AMAZING!
And one of the dads that helped put the dinner together did this amazing seafood broil!

And, yup! I logged my tripod with me here too haha. Again…it’s only a few blocks away 😉

One of the reasons we didn’t celebrate a little sooner was that Maya fell off a bench at Girl Scout camp and cut her head open. This kid can handle pain like a CHAMP, but…trips to the Dr and treatment…not so much. Trips to two different Urgent Cares later…she was totally fine, but our dinner reservation was not. BIG thanks to my parents who had dinner waiting for us when we finally came home.
Maya’s in a “I’m going to make any kind of face but a real smile for pictures” phase…it’s neat.
But she sure does love her Meme and BOPO.

I’m all about small cross body bags when I go out. Easy to wear and not at all cumbersome!
AND…I even managed to coerce the Huz out for a few!!
Maya was not as happy about it. She was a little bummed that we were leaving her behind…
I knew it would get chilly in the evening, so I brought along this leather bomber.
I think it’s such a fun alternative to the classic biker leather jacket! 
And these sandals are SO comfy! I accidentally wrapped them oppositely, but I kind of like it!

I love that this jacket looks like a “denim jacket” yet, it’s the most AMAZING leather!!
I asked if everyone wanted to come out for a family pic, and got a resounding universal “NOOOO!”
The sun kept coming out, and then hiding…such a nightmare for taking pictures, but whatever…
Oh, and Maya’s leggings are actually work out pants that she wore on our morning walk that she didn’t want to take off. It wasn’t a battle I was going to fight…
