If there is one thing I’ve always loved in fashion, it’s the dichotomy of dressy vs uber casual. In my college days, I loved thrifting vintage fur jackets and beaded cardigans and pairing them with beat up old jeans or army pants (yes, I’ve been thrifting for 20+ years!!). And, let’s be honest. A lot of us work from home or stay at home mom’s have leftover NICE clothing from our days before we were moms! It’s just sad to see them sitting there in the closet! So, mix them in to the daily wardrobe! This also goes to all those working moms. I know on the weekends you don’t even want to LOOK at your work clothes, but…look at them in a new way. Your clothes can do double duty for you!
And now…20 years later, I’m still loving it. There’s a part of me that never wants to go back to the corporate life that I lived, but…a part of me that misses dressing up every day. SO…why as moms (or NOT!) can’t we mix our lives of dressing up, yet not??? Especially when you spend so much money on said clothing.
Mix and match!!! Or more importantly, bring back a little bit of the life you had before with the one you have now. 🙂
And a little snazzy belt never hurts! 🙂
Maya was seriously in rare form off to the side 🙂
So, clearly, it was time to bring her in!
There are no words for how glad I am that I have these images…
Who remembers doing this as a kid??!!
I almost considered this a blooper, but her face….LOVE!!!
Oh, and matching!! 🙂
She literally picked a bouquet of dandelions and threw them up in the air. I felt like I needed to apologize to my neighbors!! Whoops.
Ummmm, some dandelion seeds fell on my shoulder….?! 😉
On me…
