So, two things.

A white button down with jeans is ALWAYS a classic! You cannot go wrong!

So, is there anything more comfy cozy than an oversized chunky cardigan and boyfriend jeans? Well, besides jammies or work out wear ;)? I TRY and get out of those at some point during the day (it doesn’t always happen!!). Maya was totally cracking me up. I finally figured out how to use my remote shutter and have it take consecutive shots on it’s own. I have 10 shots of her showing her snacks to the camera 😉 YES!! I finally can take a bunch of these and not have to keep running back to the camera to push the self timer! It’s almost sad how excited I was when I finally figured it out! That little tongue… The tongue again 🙂 This is one of the many times I wish I’d actually washed my hair. I love this image, but the frizzy no shower top knot… ;{ Real life though!!

Chunky Knits + Comfy Destroyed Boyfriend Jeans + Lace Up Boots

The good news? I think I found the perfect destroyed boyfriend jeans. The bad news? They don’t make them anymore. 😦

I scored these new on eBay for $27, originally $231(I sometimes wonder how the sellers get their stock, but then…I figure I don’t really care haha-whoops)

Most destroyed boyfriend jeans are 100% cotton (that fabric tends to fray the best) The downside is that they either stretch out and give you saggy butt, or they don’t stretch at all-which isn’t all that comfy! These are stretchy but don’t stretch out, aka what I totally look for in a jean! I’m a little embarrassed about how many times I’ve worn these since I got them a few weeks ago… :} I made the mistake of giving her my phone in the car while I snapped a few pics of me. She found her way to the Disney Collector and there was NO taking that phone out of her hands haha. If you don’t know who she is (you’re lucky!) If you have a toddler, my guess is that you do. They all seem to find her somehow!!?? It kind of cracks me up to see her looking so serious 🙂 The only way to get the phone out of her hands was to go to the playground. I took these after we got home. She’s walking her yoyo 😉 On me…

I actually took these right after Halloween. I was stock piling pics/posts on days that weren’t raining in anticipation of the inevitable monsoon season, then…we got super lucky with great weather for the last few weeks! So, I’ve got extras thank goodness, because I’m so flipping overwhelmed outside of this blog I could cry (and admittedly have a few times…). Again…this blog is the thing I look forward to working on, during breaks, when things are going to %&$#, so…thank you to all of you that are following along. 🙂

I’m pretty sure they meant a new way to tuck something in, but I am not a big tucker-inner (yes, I know that isn’t a word :)). I love when I see others tuck sweaters into their jeans, but when I do it, I just feel frumpy! So, I thought I’d try tucking something into a pair of boyfriend jeans that I’ve always just worn tight sweaters with.

It has been raining sideways for the last few days. Suddenly, I looked outside to see that it had stopped! I wrapped a scarf around me, and ran out there really quick! And then…it got SUNNY! What?? YAY! This really isn’t that great of a shot, but it’s just about the only one where Maya isn’t completely soaked from jumping in puddles :{ Cos, this girl never met a puddle she didn’t want to jump in. AGAIN, why I always thrift and ebay her stuff!! Oh, and have a bunch of OxyClean on hand 🙂 I mean, could you deny this happy face jumping in puddles?? No… Other Style Challenge Days here…

Menswear inspired…or just actual menswear?

I have been in search of the perfect “boyfriend” jeans. I have a couple that I like ok, but mainly it’s because they are so darn comfortable it’s hard not to like them! But flattering? Not so much. I snagged this pair at a thrift store for $7, and really wasn’t sure what they were. Boyfriend jeans? No, they say “relaxed”. Finally, it hit me why I couldn’t figure it out. They are mens jeans, that were accidentally marked and put in the women’s section. So, they are quite literally “boyfriend” jeans. That is…if I had a tiny boyfriend. Thankfully, I don’t 🙂

Then, these ADORABLE little oxfords came in the mail from Zulily the other day for Maya, so it was a menswear kind of day 🙂 Thought I’d add a little femininity with this vintage flower lariat necklace. I made these jeans for Maya “destroyed” over the weekend, and I LOVE how they turned out. Sooner or later I will blog how I did it. THAT.FACE! On me…
