I have to be honest. I wondered if I was dressing below my age group. When you are over 40, you have to think of these things (GRRRR). I looooove overalls, on any age, so in reality, I don’t really care haha. Honestly, when an outfit is this ridiculously comfortable, you wear it.

All that said, I got a lot of thumbs up from the other moms at preschool drop off, so….I decided to take pics after school 🙂 So…every once in a while, Maya is not in the mood to play and take pics. On this day…she was NOT in the mood. OBVIOUSLY! I can’t help it. This still make me laugh. Sorry, I’m that mom. 😉 So, we left and went home.Oh, but wait. Right in front of our house, she’s happy as a clam? Ok…I think I’ve talked about this before, but Maya has absolutely graduated from the time when I can pick out her outfits (insert sobs from me!!)

Our morning usually consists of me showing her what I want her to wear.

Her saying “Nah…” To just about everything I suggest.

Me trying 3-87 (ok slightly kiddding) other options until she finally likes something (it is often something she’s said “NO!” to 5 other times before this!),and then me getting to pick the shoes and jacket (sometimes)

I’ve suggested this dress about a dozen times, and always got a “Naaaah.” Then she randomly picked it out this day.Seriously? I want to eat her up! On me…

Oversized Knits + White after Labor Day + Matching Shoes!

I was recently contacted about Nene shoes. They asked if we would be interested in trying out their matching mommy and me flats. Um…super cute, well made, comfy flats? Count us in!! Plus, the owners are super nice!!

One of the rules I’ve never believed in was “No white after Labor Day.” I say white all year round!! I wanted to make sure I took some pictures that showed the shoes. Oddly, these shots are always some of my favorites! Maya miiiiiight have needed a bag of popcorn to stand still for these haha.I swear I didn’t ask her to stand like this haha. It was actually pretty cold in the shade, so we walked back to the car. Maya was like “Aaaaaah, thank you sun. You feel sooo good!” 😉 “Mommy, look! My shadow is dancing!!” Seriously. How cute are these shoes??! So well made too!! I love that they easily went with skinny jeans, but will be perfect for the upcoming holidays! On me…

Keeping it Real…

The true keeping it real? This was a last minute outing in the morning before preschool. I hadn’t taken a shower, but it’s been the first nice day we’ve had in a while, so I just wet my hair down little and we ran out the door. Don’t look too close at my puffy eyes! Conveniently, my hair covered my face in most of these ha! 🙂

I swear, it’s Murphy’s Law. If I want to try and get a few shots of just me, Maya is all over me “PICK ME UP!!”

Yet…when I really want to get pictures with her, she takes off running 😉

I’ll take pics of the two of us any day though 🙂

Sooooo, she found a Mango/Kale pouch in my purse. Of course I had to let her have it, or it would have been O.V.E.R. And…of course she spilled it down the front of her shirt AND jeans.

And for the record… Gray? Grey? I can’t seem to figure it out. I could Google it (ok, I have many times, and I still forget :)). In any case…we all know what I mean 🙂

If I could say what my favorite color (or non color) is, it would be a 4 way tie between gray, sage green, black, and white! Ok…and ivory too, because I can’t play favorites very well. All in all. My favorite color is…neutral. Not sure what that says about me?

Anywho…I have been wanting to check out the East Portal Viewpoint for the longest time, and finally just went there! At first…it won’t seem like much, but just wait…just wait 🙂And here we go again with Seattle’s kooky weather. I kid you not, it was overcast and COLD when we left the house. And then….sunny. Amen for layers 🙂My new favorite picture of me and Maya! Her. Us. Sunflare. 🙂 Oh, and the bonus of shooting with a tripod? You get a bunch of the same image!!!! What mom can relate? You want to put them down…and they are having no part in it. How cool is this wall and tunnel?? There’s all this art inside the tunnel, which is super cool. Maya kept yelling inside the tunnel to hear her echo haha. When people would come out the other side, they were like “Yup, we could here her from the start of the tunnel!” 🙂 Making shadow animals 🙂Funny thing? I took a bunch of images here, because I didn’t know the tunnel was even there! I could have done an entire blog post of these images, but I like the other ones better. Just know. Chunky Knits + Leather Leggings…from day to night!

I’m going to try as much as I can to do more day to night posts. Mainly for me, because I can never think of something to wear when I do get a night out! You may think…leather leggings for “day”…with a 4 year old?? Yup! So practical and totally comfy!!

I’ll start with the few “night” pics that I took right before I walked to pick Maya up from preschool. Changed my top into a flowing tank, and put on some Converse-good to go! Then…the sun came out, so the sweater came off. Yeah, this is what happens now when I throw her! She flings her legs out, and then lands like this haha. Kind of scary though, getting her down. Her face kills me haha. And…she’s OFF! I can’t handle how sweet she is sometimes… And then…my mom happened to drive by! If this isn’t the face of excitement, I don’t know what is 🙂 If you look close in her eyes, you can see me and my mom! Yeah…I had the camera on the tripod in the street to get this shot. Only took a few 🙂 You will totally be seeing more of these pig tails! She requested them, and I cannot believe I haven’t done them sooner-SO CUTE!!!On me…

Pumpkin Patch!

Tis the season for all things pumpkin!! We went to the Trinity Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch and totally lucked out. When we got there, there were only a handful of people, and when we left…it was packed!

So, my mom snapped a few of me while there was nobody around 🙂

No idea what I was even laughing about! But….go big or go home 🙂 “Throw me so HIGH up into the sky, Mama!!” Well…I might not throw her as high as I used to, but look at that leg extension!!! Counting pumpkins… And….dancing 🙂 With Meme 🙂 On me…

Coated Moto Skinny Pants…day to night.

I knew I was going out later this night, but really didn’t want to have to think about a separate outfit. So…I picked something that I could dress down for preschool drop off, work, pick up, and then play…then easily transition into a Mama’s night out!

Coated denim is one of my favorite things to wear in the fall/winter. Super fun and easy to clean-WIN! And it can easily be dressed up or down. Denim jackets are my favorite “make just about anything easy and casual” item of clothing.

I love the fun little slit in this tee. And the moto detailing on these pants!! It was hard to capture it on camera, but both by the pockets and at the bottom of the pants are super cool stitching. Then…had a little fun in photoshop with this one 🙂 It’s amazing what a difference a change in shoes can make!Add a leather jacket, and you’re ready to go out!I took these pictures on a bike trail that is right next to a pretty busy street. Yeah…I got a lot of looks. One biker even offered to stop and take some pics for me haha. No…I don’t feel like a complete nerd at all with my tripod and self timer-ugh ;}

And seriously, the weather in Seattle is so wonky. I took the shot above and the one below less than a minute apart. It went from totally overcast to SUNNY.After I picked Maya up from school, we walked over to my parents house. The thing I’m going to miss the most abut summer ending, is our evening walks. We went outside at 7pm, and the sun had already gone down. It’s really a miracle I could take these pictures really quick!

I’ve been SO slammed with work that I haven’t really had time to take pictures of us. I really miss it though, and honestly it’s an excuse for me to get out and have fun with Maya which is ALWAYS a good thing. Am I the only one obsessed with little white pumpkins? Well, white pumpkins of any size, really. I buy a grocery cart full every Fall!! Remlinger Farm // Fall Harvest Festival // Maya’s Birthday recap!

I feel like the worst mom ever around Maya’s birthday. It’s my busiest time at work, so the thought of planning/organizing a party, or planning anything for that matter just stresses me out. ;{ We always have a family BBQ, but I wanted to do something extra fun for her this year that didn’t involve a lot of planning on my part…

Insert Remlinger Farm Fall Harvest Festival!!

We got there right when they opened at 9:30 am, but the actual entertainment part of the festival didn’t open until 10, so we just walked around the property for a little bit and looked around the Farm Market. I’m soooooo glad we got their early, because we basically just walked up to every single ride and got on.

Maya was in HEAVEN!!!!! I mean, if this doesn’t personify pure joy I don’t know what does!! The entire time she had a smile plastered to her face. Not going to lie. I was too scared to feed them haha. My sister in law and niece met us out there. 🙂 No, I could not believe she wanted to go on this. She LOVED IT!! It actually gets going pretty fast! My dad took a hilarious video of this. You get to control how fast you spin. The Huz kept asking her. “Do you want to go faster? Are you too dizzy??” Nope, they SPUN AWAY!! I felt a little nauseous watching it! Then, as we left, we got to grab free pumpkins! I can’t even 🙂

This so epitomizes everything Maya. Pink tutu, singing her brains out into a bedazzled microphone (both courtesy of her amazing Aunt) And of course, holding onto her rainbow unicorn. DYING!!! 😍

Pretty much the opposite of the the leather jacket, jeans, and boots I put her in earlier 😏

She’s been super into coloring lately, and literally spent a few hours coloring after everyone left!! Happiest of birthdays to you, my sweet Maya!
