Day to Night…

So, I know I’ve been on a roll with the style challenges, but I couldn’t make up mind on what this fit under, so it’s a mix of two haha.

Day 2: Mix at least two textures into your look and…Day 7: Focus on your jewelry. And then my own challenge thrown in there Day Random: Go day to night 🙂

We actually had a 60 degree day here in Seattle, with NO RAIN!!! That will not be the case for the next few days, but can you believe I’m wearing a tank top and not cold??? SO excited!

Honestly, the “day” part of this probably wouldn’t include all the necklaces, but I forgot to take them off ha! So….let’s use our imagination. Plain cream tank, amazing coated dark skinnies, and fun sneakers-WIN for the day chasing your toddler! Add a light sweater and heels/booties and you can go out at night! Oh, I mean and add necklaces too 🙂 This girl never met dirt she didn’t want to mess with… The only thing better than dirt? Balloons! Other Style Challenge Days here…

Another dress!! Who’d a thunk? I never would have worn this outfit if it weren’t for the challenge, but I kind of liked it. There were a few windy moments, when I feared I flashed people, but I had on tights, so…oh well. :} Looking both ways for cars. SO CUTE!! Safety first 🙂 This is SUCH a classic Maya look. We spotted my dad out for a walk (as we were on our way over to their house for a quick visit), and she’s asking him something. 🙂 And of course…a stick 😉 Other Style Challenge Days here…

Funny that this challenge didn’t stand out to me at first as being difficult, until I looked through my closet. I don’t wear skirts. Like….ever anymore! I found a few, but they certainly aren’t any kind of “favorite”. So, I took a dress that I love and winterized it 🙂 It’s been raining sideways, so more inside pics.

Ps-can we ignore my blindingly white legs??? Blog Twenty8Twelve Dress Joie Boots-2 This dress is pretty short, so I either pair it over super skinny jeans, or wear a slip under it. She loves to feed Max… And jump over Max… hahaha. Max is like “Dude, did you see how close she got on that last jump?! I’ll sit for the rest of these…” 🙂“Maxie!! Come back!!” Smart dog. I don’t know if oxblood counts as a bright color, but it’s pretty bright for me! I have snippets of bright colors in my wardrobe, but I definitely trend towards more basic colors. With the exception of green. LOVE just about every shade of green, but I didn’t really want to look like a frog 🙂

Side note. I’m getting way more comfortable whipping out my tripod and taking these selfies, but this is a very busy running trail. On a nice sunny day, you can just imagine the comments I was getting… Um, Mom, where are the bubbles you promised?? This bubble machine was the best $2.99 ever!!! The only downside was that it was so windy they all few away so fast! Other Style Challenge Days here…

It seems funny that I was so overwhelmed by this challenge at first. I’ve been loving seeing other people’s takes on the challenge on Instagram too. It’s what I love most about fashion. Different people can wear almost the same look, yet look completely different. That also means that you don’t have to shy away from something because you don’t think you could pull it off or it’s not you. Make it you! 🙂 I had actually thought of a completely different outfit at first, but then it turned out to be 55-yay! But…that didn’t exactly work with the silk top/sweater/jacket combo I had in mind. So, I went with lighter layers…Love how this top is sheer in the back. Can we just pretend this is “artfully out of focus”, vs “I don’t really even know what happened??” Other Style Challenge Days here..

It’s pretty rare that I have a shoot during the week, unless it’s a newborn shoot. The shoot I went on was for Executive head shots, so I figured it would be a chance to dust off the heels!

Btw, it was raining sideways, we we stayed inside 🙂 I don’t know what I love more. Maya’s face, or Max’s behind her haha.

Ok, truth be told, we didn’t have a date night. I’ve been dying to wear these pants though, so…I pretended 😉 I’ve been obsessed with the Paige Edgemont jeans for a while now, but could never pay that price. Even on eBay they go for $75+ (no thank you!). When I saw these on sale at H&M (for $10!!), I had to try them. I LOVE them! Scored these on my last Value Village trip. So comfy!
