I recently got this cardigan, and it’s instantly been one of those pieces of clothing that I reach for and wear all the time! You know that top that you can throw over anything in the in between seasons? This is it! I’m just bummed I didn’t get it in time for our recent Mexico trip because it would absolutely make the cut in the packing wardrobe!
Swimsuit cover up? SPF50, so YES!
Throw it on over a tank and shorts? YES!
At night when the temps drop? YES!
Wear to the park with your kid over the tank and jeans that you thought would be warm enough?? YES!
And…I’ll be styling it (and with Maya too!) with a dressier option coming later this week!
Is now too soon to mention that you could win a $35 credit towards a purchase of either my cardigan, Maya’s cardigan, or so many other cute SPF50 tops? If you are on Instagram, be sure to follow us at @dit_elle and @shedolane
Sooooo much goodness and more giveaways coming throughout the month of May!

And it has POCKETS!!
LOVE the detailing on the back!!

Oh, and btw, the same company sells Girls and Boys clothing too! Maya’s cardigan has SPF50!
I’m way more diligent on Maya’s coverage, even though I’ve been diagnosed 3 times! AND…let’s be honest. I still want her to be cute while being protected! I’d feel guilty about saying that, but since I found Shedo Lane and SwimZip, I don’t! You can absolutely still be active and out in the sun and still look cute and protected!
Or…in the shade looking at plants haha.
And while I’m on the PSA. Our shoes are buy a Mom’s pair and get a kids pair for FREE!!!!
These are UNISEX, and soooo well made!
I’m trying to be better about taking videos as we go, but honestly…most times, just taking pictures with the tripod is about all I can handle!
I did manage to capture a video of us taking these next shots though…
I want to eat her up!!
It’s almost as if I asked her to showcase the cardigan!
As if… 😉
I mean…
Totally bumming that I chopped her hand off becaus she danced so close to me, but still…
DYING!
Funny bts video of right before this next shot here.
She’s so freaking funny, and I’m SO glad I get to capture that!
On me…
Ok, I was on the fence about posting that other shot as a real shot or a behind the scenes, but these two…hahaha. For SURE BTS!!
And…for our shoe shots? Yes, this happens more often than not….but, I can’t decide which I like more, so I don’t really care!

I’d been wanting to take pictures along this wall for a few days, and of course, when I actually brought my camera, she was having nothing to do with it…
But…Maya never fails to charm everyone she meets…
Oh, and a bar cart right to our table?
Present from the Easter bunny that had to come along to dinner 🙂

This view?!!!! I decided that we would try to come back here for some family pics before we left!
I can’t even handle how cute she is…
See the “Keeping it Real” at the bottom for the real story going on here… 😉
Then as we were walking back to our room, Maya went up into this little gazebo, turned the light on, and asked Houston to dance.
And then I DIED!!!
On me…

This next shot is totally out of focus, but I wanted to get a picture of her FIRST MANICURE!!
Seriously!?? I wish the streets were lined with blooms like this ALL THE TIME!
This next photo is totally out of focus, but it is SO HER!!! She always comes running so enthusiastically for a hug!! It’s getting harder and harder to document as she gets older, but….LOVE!!

LOVE!!!
I almost put this as an “outtake”, because…clearly she’s going in for a big BITE! But…I love it. It’s SO HER!
Love all these close ups that I got, but this next one…

She’s got a killer right hook haha!
And that water??! SO pretty!
Again…her face-LOVE!
I looooove that you can get Saltwater sandals wet! They were a staple on our trip for both of us!
On me…

Each kid got to pick out and keep a felt Easter basket to collect their eggs.
DYING!! 🙂
Easter egg hunt!

This guy was amazing! He must have been SO hot!!!
They got to decorate a tee shirt with their handprints.
Ginormous chocolate egg with candy inside.
The Easter bunny cracked it open and it was MAYHEM!!! Maya was right in front, and I miiiiiight have overreacted a little, panicked, and raced into the mob to get her so she didn’t get hurt.
We ran right past the focus point on this one…boo hoo!! I still like it even though it’s out of focus though. Maybe more so because of it? I couldn’t decide if this was an outtake or not!
LOOOOOOOOVE her! And the light this day was sooooo good!
Anyone remember Goffrey?? 🙂
I want to eat her up!!

running in for a hug!
It’s hard to tell, but the moto details at the knee and thigh are super fun and flattering! I swear they suck you in, which I’m totally ok with haha 🙂
And don’t get me started on these boots. I still can’t believe my luck in scoring them. They are BEYOND comfy, as all Frye boots are!
OMG…her smile??! DYING!!
She really wanted me to make her “fly”. I wasn’t sure if those days were gone, but I tried anyways. She loved it, and…I didn’t throw out my back haha, so it was a win!
Although, she wanted to keep doing it…
She did a bunch of poses up on this ledge. I was simultaneously dying, and nervous that she would dance right off!!
On me…
Not feeling me here, obviously…
Maya loooooves to twirl. and she executes the twirl to perfection! Sadly, she was still in preschool when I took these (in the 10 minutes I had before I had to pick her up!)

My hair!!! hahaha.
Hahaha. This next one cracks me up!
For those wondering. The reason the first image and the image below look “lighter and hazier”, it’s because I had my tripod in the sun to get the shot. The darker and crisper close up shots, were with the camera in the shade with us.
This next four shots literally happened in less than a minute. Taking images with a tripod isn’t always the easiest, but the remote trigger taking a shot every second for 10 seconds sure is!
I flipped our position and then got these!
I managed to convince Maya to do ONE twirl picture by herself…
Her face!!! hahaha.
