I’m a big fan of big chunky knit sweaters. It’s kind of a must when you live in Seattle 🙂 I scooped this particular one up at a thrift store for $4.99! Add a pair of skinnies and boots, and you have a super comfy/cute outfit.
I found this one for Maya for $1.50!

You don’t have to spend a ton of money on a cool leather jacket…
I got this vintage leather jacket at Funky Janes for $25!! I LOVE IT! It totally looks like a $500 jacket, yet I know that nobody else is wearing it 🙂
Then when I got home from the shoot a few hours later, it was SUNNY! It was a little chilly, so I kept the scarf on that I had thrown on (but forgot to photograph!) as I left.
Since I forgot to photograph the before outfit with the scarf, here it is 🙂
Maya’s outfit was all about “This might be the last sunny day we have, I’m going to put the things I love that she’s growing out of on” haha
Am I the only one that gets sad every time their kid moves up a size? It’s quickly replaced by excitement over the new bigger sized clothes, but still…a little mourning goes on 🙂

Comfy cozy sweater + Boots = My winter uniform
During the fall and winter, my uniform changes from jeans, t-shirt, and flip flops to jeans, boots, and sweaters. I’m pretty simple like that 🙂
Maya likes cozy sweaters and boots too!

Tis the season…for skulls?
I got this sweater a while ago. It’s so fun, and I love the metallic coating. Who says skulls are just for Halloween? Not me!
This was a “self timer” shoot. Maya kept saying “Again! Again!” She loves running back and forth from the camera to the “spot” haha

Vince Skinnies + IntiMint top = Comfy Mom Style
A lot of the things I will wear on this blog will be minority outfits. I.e.-when me and the Huz get to go on date nights, the rarer girl’s night out, or me just wanting to test a look to see if it works!
THIS is what I wear on a daily basis 🙂 Skinny jeans (with stretch!!) and a comfy t-shirt! I had heard about StyleMint on various blogs and magazines, but for some reason had never shopped there (why??!). It’s AMAZING! Great everyday t’s and comfy clothes that are super stylish (duh, it’s the by the Olsen twins). Best of all…it’s affordable (especially if you load up when they have a sale like I did :)) The particular top I’m wearing below is from the IntiMint section. Which means, they not only feel like pj’s…they are haha. I don’t think they look like it though…
Even though I live in Seattle, I wear flip flops CONSTANTLY from March-October! My favorites are Havaianas. If you are like me, you think “why in the WORLD would I spend that much money on flip flops??” Well, a) I got 2 pairs at Costco when they had them for $9.99 and a few others at Nordstrom Rack b) they are so comfy! There’s something in the rubber that makes them soft, and they don’t rub!
It’s easy to dress this outfit up a little. Like adding a fun scarf…
And colorful shoes!
Love the dolman style of this top…
Lastly, as it gets a little colder I’ll wear my other staple…boots!
Maya loves her boots too! Oh, and she loves sitting in puddles 🙂
All 3 of these looks are super comfy, allow you to chase your kid around, AND look good-WIN 🙂
