The weather here in Seattle is still sunny and somewhat warm one minute (it got up to 80 yesterday!!), and then overcast and COLD the next! I’m SO excited for consistent warmer temps, but they just aren’t quite here yet…
Which means…of course…layering.
Oh, and I’m totally into tying a bandana or scarf around my non washed mom bun.
Like….this hair that I haven’t washed in 4 days? Let me wrap something pretty around it-ha!

Photographically, it’s a NIGHTMARE to shoot in these conditions! ESPECIALLY if you are trying to take shots with a tripod. Don’t get me started…
BUT…I mainly wanted to come down here for Maya to play, so it really was fun to capture her in her element.
Although, she will still always say… “I don’t want to go to the beach!!

This location is perfect for us, which is why we come here a LOT! There are ALWAYS dogs walking by or playing in the field next to us, so Maya is in heaven! It is sometimes hard to get her BACK into the shots with me, but usually I can grab her for a few here and there.

And…the power of the sun. All the images above were with my camera in the sun (hence the hazy sun flare.) . I moved it into the shade with me to get a close up, and no more flare.

I’m sure most people wouldn’t think of playing on the beach in the waves when it’s 44 degrees and super windy outside, but we had so much fun!
Of course she thought it was hilarious trying to get ME into the water!
