Off the shoulder top + Skinnies + Wedges | Girls Night Out!

My girlfriend of over 20 years and her daughter came to stay with us a few weeks ago.

We shopped, we ate, we drank rose, and…we laughed.

What more could you ask for?

I mean…what’s the good of taking pics in front of your house if you can’t have a glass of wine while doing so?

Ok, funny story. We actually took the BUS to a neighborhood restaurant earlier in the evening. HA! We were a liiiiiiiittle more dressed up than most of the passengers.

Because no matter how big, they are always our babies right?? Playing with the remote. Aka…taking a picture of herself!

Nordstrom had another “Clear the Rack” sale. They’ve had a few that I managed to avoid, but honestly, I’ve been working my arse off and figured this was the time to use my $20 Nordstrom dollars from the last Clear the Rack that I did damage on… 🙂 Again, I’m a total sucker for an interesting back!! Yes, that would be a measuring tape, aka Maya’s snake. She found it in my desk drawer (design student supplies!) and she wouldn’t leave the car without it haha. I finally managed to take it out of her hand, and then she was NOT feeling taking any pics. So…we went home and played.

I got these pants during the last “Clear the Rack” sale at Nordstom Rack. I had meant for them to be to wear to shoot weddings. I kept meaning to test them out first (an all day wedding is NOT the time to try something new!), but just remembered about them last night. It’s been in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s lately, and these were PERFECT! They are super light weight. The flat front is flattering, yet the elastic back makes them super comfy. I originally meant them to be dressy, but threw on loose T and sandals instead. Basically, I felt like I was wearing pajamas all day. LOVE THAT! Pretty sure I will be living in these from now on haha. Oh, wall art? Don’t mind if we do haha 🙂“Maya, can you go stand under those wings?”

Keeping it Real…

I love, love, LOVE that Maya is getting more adventurous! I’ve mentioned before that she’s been kind of a scaredy cat when it comes to the playground. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a catch 22. Part of me loves that she’s so scared and I don’t really have to worry about her doing anything dangerous, but part of me is so proud that she’s starting to climb more and take some risks. Go Maya!!
