I had a shoot on Friday, and Maya tagged along.  She was SO good just sitting in her stroller while I worked.  It was a mini session, because it was POURING during our first attempt, so after I got a few good shots, Maya got out and played with one of the little boys.  I also managed to get a few before they showed up 🙂 Throwing “caterpillars” in the creek, so they can go “swimming” 🙂 I swear sometimes I look at her and wonder how I got so lucky.  Not because she’s so cute (although, could she be any cuter???), but because of her.  She’s such a good kid.  She’s always does so well when I take her on shoots with me (which isn’t very often anymore).  I love how excited she gets doing the simplest thing.  I love that she wants to play in the water and mud all while wearing a dress.  Ok, maybe not that last part, with this particular dress, but you get my point.  I’m definitely not the most articulate, so I hope she sees it all in my pictures later on.  Since that is how I tell my stories best…On me…

Boots- Carter’s  (thrifted, but similar here)

 We had just gotten back from running errands.  Maya’s new favorite thing is to climb into the front seat and pretend to drive when we get home.  Hey, it keeps her entertained and contained, which lets me take in the groceries, or…take selfies haha 🙂 She is such a kisser and a cuddler-LOVE IT! Right before this, I asked her if her diaper needed to be changed.  “NO!!!”  Um, yes, it did.  Ugh, seriously if anyone has tips on potty training I’m all ears.  We started 4-5 months ago, and she did it right away.  Totally thought I had struck gold.  Then, after a few times she didn’t want to again.  I figured I’d just wait and see, but now she screams anytime I try and put her on her little seat.  😦  I’ve tried stickers, having her watch her friend that goes (thought for sure that would do it), bringing her in with me every time I go, food bribes, big girl panties….nothing.

Knowing her, she’ll just be ready one day.  Not going to really worry about it all that much just yet…

 I have to admit.  I am partial to the rain and cold.  I’m a NW girl at heart.  I think partly, because I don’t like crowds.  When it’s raining, you have your favorite spots to yourself…  That said.  The first day it gets into the 70’s in Seattle is heaven!  We truly live in one of the most beautiful areas, in my opinion 🙂 “Sunglasses OFF!!”  Ok… Which is so funny, because she is obsessed with sunglasses. Still dying to try paddleboarding!! As a side note.  These jeans are 12-18 months haha.  They are so stretchy that I’ve just kept putting her in them.  SO cute as capris!!  Alas, I should probably retire them after this… :{ Ok, seriously??  SO LUCKY that I get to look at this every day!!! Although, luckier that I get to look at this every day 🙂 She kept pouring the sand over her shoulder, onto her head, and well honestly everywhere!  It was totally worth the strip down at the beach to shake it all out, and the bath when we got home!  I went a tad overboard getting this sweater in every color when it went on sale, but I am such a sucker for a mullet sweater!  Or anything that looks totally simple in the front, and then fun in the back. Now that it’s spring (ha!), I thought I would do a different spin on the layering.  I unbuttoned the back a bit, and added a fun silk cami. If it was a little less windy, I might unbotton a few more buttons to really show off the cami.  In this weather, it would have been flapping all over the place though haha. Perfect weather for a pinwheel though! Seal!!! Um…I guess that’s what seals do? 🙂

 So, so excited for warmer days and spring clothing!  And I’m LOVING that it’s staying lighter later.  We actually took these at 7:45 the other night! OMG, DYING over these next few.  She cracks me up!! On me…

 Truth be told, he was getting rid of it.  It has a small tear on the back collar (like I care!), so…I tried it on.  Of course I love it 🙂 Do I even need to say what kind of day it was leading up to this if she’s holding two “friends”? That look says it all.  Look out teenage years! We both needed the calming effect of the water today. LOOK!!!  A FERRYBOAT!!!  haha 🙂Seriously, no matter how difficult she’s been earlier in the day.  THIS erases it all MOST of it 😉
