Whenever we get low tides, it’s SO fun to go out on the beaches and play.  We can’t always catch it (with Maya’s school schedule), but this last weekend, it was REALLY low tide!  So. of course we had to go check it out!!

There’s a specific spot that I love to go to that really only locals know about (I think!).  It’s usually only a TINY beach when the tide isn’t low, so not many people would ever think to go there.  I mean, it must be the case, because there’s never anyone there when we go, compared to the main Alki Beach which is PACKED on nice weekends!

The best part is that you can see the mountains….and the city (coming next!)It’s hard to get Maya to come anywhere near me, because she just wants to run and play in the sand. Yup…this view is only a few yards away from the above shots!  Honestly, not even that!  I could have pivoted from the above shot to get this!! She honestly face planted in the first 5 minutes!! 🙂  I’m SO glad I thrift all her clothes!!

I actually suggested a different outfit before we left, and she was like

“No, that’s too special…”

HAHAHA.  She NEVER used to say that, so it’s so funny that she would think that way.  AND…SO glad that she did!!  Even if I only spend a few dollars on things for her, it makes me sad when they get ruined.  BUT, because I only spend a few dollars on things, I don’t care when this is what she wants to do 🙂EXCEPT for the fact that once she’s down there…she doesn’t want to get up ;{ So, I have to offer to play with her (which is really all I want in the first place!) 🙂 And….back to playing in the sand.Until I gave her permission to just jump and play!
