All Black with a Pop of Color | Night

It’s week 2 for @theMomEdit style challenge.

This week (1/16-1/23) is style “All Black with a Pop of Color”

Yesterday, I posted a “day” version of this outfit.

One of my favorite things to style here is looks going from day to night!
🙋🏼‍♀️💃
I’m sure I’m not the only mom that feels the CRUNCH when it’s time to go out! I usually have about 30 minutes to an hour (if I’m LUCKY!) to get ready to go out. A life saver is finding ways to take an outfit that you can wear all day, swap out a shoe and a coat, add an accessory or two, and you are good to go!

An all black outfit is a total easy option for this! Add an accessory that matches, and you’re done! I think it’s easy to think that the distressed hem can’t go to “night”, but I think it can! And

On me…

Leather Jacket- Doma (old, similar here)
Sweater- Banana Republic (old, similar here)
Jeans- Current Elliott “Girl Crush” (DIY distressed hem) thrifted, similar here.
Shoes- Charlotte Ronson (old, similar here)
Keeping it Real…
I don’t have any new info, but…in case you missed it from the last post.
This amazing walkway is RIGHT next to a super busy street in our neighborhood.  The good news is-it’s beautiful and 5 minutes from our house and Maya’s school.  The bad news….872 cars drove by during our whopping 15 minutes here haha.
And, part of the videio includes the “day” version, which included Maya and me 🙂
Oh, and…the set up of my focus stand…it’s the same as the day, because I literally gave myself 15 minutes to shoot both of these before I picked Maya up from school!

She never has her hair all down, but the clip she’d worn to school was half out.  I took it out and was going to put it back in, but then…didn’t want to mess with it without a brush.  But, during all her dancing she kept getting hairs in her mouth 🙂
(all pictures taken with a shutter release and tripod, except ones of Maya :))
