Well, @whatjennwore posted this amazing denim dress in her stories that I LOVED!

She mentioned that she was on the search for a skirt like her dress.

I had it!! I’d thrifted it a while ago, but just had never worn it. I didn’t feel like it was “me” BUT…I loved the idea of HER styling idea. That’s the reason I bought it. I LOVED the idea of it!!

I’m late to the #nationalthriftshopday and sadly didn’t go due to Covid, but… every day should be that day in my opinion 😂❤️

I attempted to FINALLY style it to make sure. I still love the idea of it!! I would LOVE this on someone else- JENN!!!

But me? No. Yet, I’m glad I tried it!

It’s one of the things I love about fashion. Especially thrifted fashion. It’s a way to figure out what you love. What you want to experiment with and what you find is “you”. I’m completely eclectic in my ideas of what my style is, and yet…things that I LOVE on others…still don’t work on me.

And THAT IS OK!

I only hope Jenn rocks this!! Because it’s heading her way-she commented that she’s been looking for a skirt so I gave it to her! Because the other thing I love? Finding scores that make other people happy!

Also…Maya in this vintage dress that she’s been wearing for 5 year!!! I posted a memory in my stories of her in it 5 years ago, and I’m like 😭😭😍❤️❤️❤️❤️ Some things I just cannot get rid of! Maybe she’ll wear this as a top in her teens??! 🤣

DIY Ripped Denim, Vintage Clogs and Purse = Thrift Store Scores!

I actually took these a while ago during a random sunny (albeit WINDY AND COLD) day.

Ps- Can you spy the Space Needle? I had a hard time getting us both in the frame 😉Do you have a pair of straight leg denim that you don’t know what to do with? It’s kind of a weird cut for me, BUT I often find them at the thrift stores for so cheap, so really…I have to, right?! I usually just cuff or roll them (my answer to just about every jean, since my legs are so short!), but I got this pair of ridiculously comfy 7FAM straight leg jeans for $7.50! I knew that I wouldn’t wear them as is, so, I cut off the hem to my favorite length (measured off a pair that I love), and then cut/distressed them a little. I’ve worn them SO many times now since! Yeah, this is the self conscious laugh of someone who is taking pics with a tripod on a busy path with people walking by making comments (don’t mind me!!) 😉 ps-this entire outfit was $38! But…the most expensive part (the vintage clogs for $19), I got for “free” with a credit I had at my consignment store! Whoop whoop! It LOOKS sunny and warm, but…it wasn’t. It was at our house, but when we got down to the water? Not so much. Maya had been in the car next to me eating her snack. When I got her out of the warm car, she had a bit of weather shock! And then…she was ok. Seriously, doesn’t she look like a grandma on her way to the bus stop!?? hahahah 🙂

I really hadn’t planned on taking pics this day. She had gone to preschool in the morning, and it’s all about “comfort/what you don’t care about getting ruined” /what I can get ON her and out the door in 15-20 minutes. Let’s be honest, I still want her to be cute, but…what she goes to preschool in isn’t necessarily what I blog all the time. Mainly too, because once she’s gone to school, I don’t have time to take pics after/or it’s got paint/mud on it!But get her near the beach, throwing rocks and sticks, and she’s happy. 🙂On me…

I’m so excited clogs are coming back in style. Comfy, yet give your legs some length? YES, PLEASE!! I have a black pair that I got in 2002 for a trip to Italy that I pulled out of my closet and have been wearing a lot lately!

I’ve been wanting a pair of vintage open back ones, and then what do you know!? I dropped some clothes off at my neighborhood consignment store last week, and this beautiful pair was just waiting for me. And, they were free with the credit I had on file-SCORE!! I had found these for Maya at a thrift store a few months ago for $3.99!! They retail for $68 and are SO well made! Honestly, I’m not sure they are the most practical toddler shoe (for running and playing). They keep falling off when she runs, but maybe she’d get used to them? I hope she does! 😉 This is the first time she’s worn them outside of the house. She loves to clomp around the house though 🙂 One of my favorite things about this next one is the lone clog that was flung off 😉It was so funny…

Here’s an image that shows how I got the shot above of me holding Maya up in the air.

I placed the stand where I will end up being. The little toy at the end makes it easier to focus on :). I press the shutter halfway down to lock in my focus, and then switched it over to manual focus so it would stay focused on that spot. I then hit the timer, ran to where the stand was, asked Maya to jump to me, and there you have the above shot! One of thees days I will do another video that shows the whole thing. I know I keep saying that…
