“Mix Prints”

Whew…this one was kind of hard for me… I’m not much of a print person, unless it’s stripes or animal print, and honestly…I feel like those are just neutrals!

I decided to stay in my comfort zone and just go with the same color family.

AND…all the stars aligned and I convinced Maya to run out and take some pics during her school lunch break! I literally just threw a printed dress and leather jacket over what she was already wearing!

I’m honestly bummed that I’m not leaving the house and that nobody will see this! Well, except for here.

I can’t wait to see other creative print mixes! I definitely need help in this area!

I’m REALLY hoping to convince Maya into doing this one, because she has the most epic feather trimmed dress that just screams Moira! I’m more Alexis, but I’m going to give it my best shot.

We’ve had SNOWPALOOZA the last few days.

(inserted to add that we took these pictures during Snowpalooza 1! It came back with a vengeance!! Those pics coming soon)

And by that, I mean we had maybe 4-5 inches of snow 😂, but Seattle basically shut down. All my relatives that live in the midwest were laughing at me, BUT…it got down to 7 degrees 😳 and everything was a sheet of ice!

Sooo much fun was had yesterday if you follow our stories. We went from sunrise to sunset. My body hurts! 🤣😩

Today, while we waited for the YMCA to open I decided to do another spin on @TheMomEdit #TMEStyleChallenge which was “Make Wide Legged Crop Pants Work in Winter”.

Since Maya was home from school again, she did it too! I wore these jeans in Mexico, and it’s so funny how they look like completely different jeans styled for the winter! When you see me looking at the camera, you know I had a remote malfunction, and Maya is standing by the tripod just snapping away! I love layering long sleeve tees under loose knit sweaters in the winter! Even better if they are striped tees! BUT…I thought that might be a bit too much for this outfit.
I can’t even with how cute she is. I mean… You know I love a shoe shot… Maya had literally been in a snowsuit for days, and…honestly days AFTER this, so to put her in normal clothes seemed weird, BUT…I layered to the nth degree haha. GAH!!! And this morning light?!!! I was in HEAVEN! Blowing “smoke”….
