Honestly, letting her pick out her own clothes and not caring has been a perk to quarantine.

She’s also now making her own lunch-YAY ME!

I’m admittedly a bit of a control freak, so….these baby steps have been good for both of us!

Does she come out wearing things that I say “Ummmm….”

YES!

Does she lick the almond butter off the knife and then stick it back in?

We just got home from Maya’s school “Spring Fling”.  Bouncy houses, games, tattoos, book fair galore.

But…I had a much needed Mama’s night out a few weeks ago! 🙌🏻

At our school auction they do a “Mama Dance Party”. A local coffee shop opens up for us and we drink, dance, and let loose…it’s AMAZING! I signed up last year, and of course had to sign up again this year! 💃

Took these really quick before we all walked to all our neighborhood restaurants. At which point I said ✌🏻 to the Huz and kids as I entered one restaurant and they went to another 😂🙈😬😜🍷 Love the back hem of these!
Maya and I had been to a “Tea Party” with her Girl Scout troop earlier in the day so she was a little dressed up for that.  She would happily wear a party dress every day of the week though haha.

I’m clearly having more fun than she is at this point!!
In my defense…some of our friends had just walked by, but you know…time was a ticking and I wanted to still get some shots before we headed out for dinner, so…don’t mind us!  They actually jumped in with us for a few right after! 🙂

 This is one of my favorite shoots we’d done in a while.  It was totally impromptu outside of our house, which is usually when Maya gets into it the most.

Oddly enough…favorite shoot or no, we took them FIVE months ago….whoops.

So, let’s pretend those are yellow and orange leaves behind us!

We actually had a nice sunny day today, so the outfits could have happened! These were one of the first flares that I chopped.  They are my FAV!!  And…the ones that started the chopping addiction ha! Baby Birks!!  DYING! These next images are some of my absolute favs of us! And….Maya totally schooling me on the art of posing!

Off the Shoulder Cashmere Sweater + Skinny Boyfriend Jeans + Booties

 I love the idea that any wide neck sweater can easily turn into an off the shoulder one!

And…if you are unsure of the off the shoulder trend or don’t want to wear a strapless bra…layer a fun bralette or tank underneath! Looking back on these pictures, I needed to roll the cuff once more or a little bigger…I don’t really like where they hit me at the ankle.

One of the many benefits of taking pics! GAH!!  Her smile and laugh are just about my favorite thing to see!! This smile now is very GAP TOOTHED!!  I have a loooooot of posts I need to do with her old teeth still in.  I cannot WAIT to start posting her new smile!!

 My girlfriend of over 20 years and her daughter came to stay with us a few weeks ago.

We shopped, we ate, we drank rose, and…we laughed.

What more could you ask for?

I mean…what’s the good of taking pics in front of your house if you can’t have a glass of wine while doing so?

hahaha

Ok, funny story.  We actually took the BUS to a neighborhood restaurant earlier in the evening.  HA!  We were a liiiiiiiittle more dressed up than most of the passengers.

Whatever…
Because no matter how big, they are always our babies right?? Playing with the remote.  Aka…taking a picture of herself!
