(Playing catch up!)
Words taken from Instagram on the day I posted some of these there…
When life gives you leaves!
Make the best of it!
Don’t make “leave-o-nade” 🤣
(Sorry, that was so bad!!) 😂🙈 I spent an hour yesterday sweeping these up, to then come out and see this today. 🤬
I didn’t take any pics on Mother’s Day…
For the first time in 9 years.
I’d love to say that I made the conscious decision to be “present” and “enjoy the moment”, but…
Truth be told…On Sunday I was not the best mom, Maya was not the best daughter, and it was just one of those days that you want to put behind you. Unfortunately, it was Mother’s Day.
That’s one of the things I HATE about special holidays. It’s ALL this PRESSURE to be the best, pick out the best gift, do ALL THE THINGS. Be on your best behavior.
OH, and during a PANDEMIC??!! 😳
BUT… in reality…the week BEFORE, I came out of my shower to notes written in the steamed mirror from Maya. Endless giggles over silly filter games on IG stories. Amazing dinners made by the Huz EVERY weekend.
And magical nights playing in the leaves during the golden hour in our back patio.
THOSE are the days I want to remember. They were ordinary days that were amazing.
THOSE were my “Mother’s Day”, and I’m SO lucky that it’s not a singular day!
I honestly meant to take this shot as a #TwoShoesTellaTale but…her sweet face could not be cropped out!
Also adding some of her in the magical light! I try and not post images of just her, but these are too good, and I want to remember them!
