I’d love to say that I made the conscious decision to be “present” and “enjoy the moment”, but…

Truth be told…On Sunday I was not the best mom, Maya was not the best daughter, and it was just one of those days that you want to put behind you. Unfortunately, it was Mother’s Day.

That’s one of the things I HATE about special holidays. It’s ALL this PRESSURE to be the best, pick out the best gift, do ALL THE THINGS. Be on your best behavior.

OH, and during a PANDEMIC??!! 😳
BUT… in reality…the week BEFORE, I came out of my shower to notes written in the steamed mirror from Maya. Endless giggles over silly filter games on IG stories. Amazing dinners made by the Huz EVERY weekend.

And magical nights playing in the leaves during the golden hour in our back patio.
THOSE are the days I want to remember. They were ordinary days that were amazing.
