Casual Family Anniversary Dinner on a Thursday

The best part of a celebratory day like an anniversary or birthday falling on a Thursday?  You get to extend the celebration!!

This happened on my birthday this year too, so I totally scored this year!

And…let’s just pretend that I’m TOTALLY on the ball and this happened yesterday, ok?!

So…it’s probably obvious that I didn’t have time to do my hair.  Nor my make up.

Sorry, I’ll go OUT for my anniversary on a Thursday, but…
I’ll at least attempt to be put together…
As per usual, I’m more about the back being fun!
Maya had an art direction of how she wanted us to pose.
It took me a few times to figure it out 🙂
When all else fails…
Then… the couple of the hour!  I mean, day.
10 Years married, and I’m SO happy I still look at him this way.
My remote wasn’t working, so we had Maya stand behind the tripod and snap away.

Nailed it!

🙂
LOVE! These two…
I brought this “jacket” that I recently thrifted and cut.  I’ve been wanting a cropped army jacket for a while.  I saw this one thrifting a few weeks ago during a 50% off sale, and decided to buy it and chop it!

I LOVE IT!!!

But, I never would have had the nerve to chop it off, had I not thrifted it.

Yet again one of my many plugs to THRIFT!!!
It normally would have come down past the pockets of my jeans.

NOT a good look with crop flares, which is what I wear most lately!
LOVE HER!!
We walked to Mio Posto, one of our local family restaurants for dinner, because I love anything that’s within walking distance!  It’s one of the many reasons we love our neighborhood!  There are a few restaurants that cater to Maya’s gluten, dairy, egg free diet!  And we love it too!

Oh, and they give kids pizza dough to play with while you wait-TOTAL WIN!!

I literally dream of their Prosciutto E Arugula pizza…
