With Goffrey and Dita (Maya’s sticks ;))

Cutoffs are always so perfect in the summer. A way to get them on the cheap is at the thrift store (duh :)). Look for your favorite jeans in a size or two larger than you normally wear. That way they are looser and more comfy. If you find some that have a hack job hem or that have been worn at the bottom from dragging, those are usually marked down pretty cheap. Perfect to turn into cut offs! You can even do some DIY distressing like I did here. Or, I’m sure everyone has a pair of jeans in their closet that they never wear anymore. Perfect way to give them a new lease on life!
Let’s pretend my legs aren’t ghostly pale… :{

Keeping it Real…
So, there was a fire pit in the middle of all the wooden benches (what we are standing on.) Maya decided to sit and play in it. Of course, the more I tried to coax/carry her out of it, the more determined she was to sit and then roll around in it! Coal remnants and all… She was a filthy mess, as was I afterwards, but again…one of the many reasons I love thrifting! And…why I love Oxyclean haha. And then she saw the mole hills and was off to play in those 😉
(all pictures taken with a self timer and tripod, except ones of Maya :))
