To be honest, I took these images 3 weeks ago when it was still nice and sunny here in Seattle!
I’ve been super busy with work, and with Maya’s extracurricular activities. Plus, my Instagram account has been somewhat blocked since the beginning of September, so I just decided F*ck it, and took a little break.
I have no idea if or when my IG account will go back to normal, but I’ll keep plugging along. If you aren’t already, feel free to follow us there too. Right now only active followers see my posts, and none of my hashtags work, which is kind of a bummer.
BUT….c’est la vie! There are way more important things. It’s actually been a nice taking a break from Instagram. I didn’t realize how much time I spent on there, and now that I don’t have any time to spare…it’s eye opening how alluring it is.
There’s so much research going around about the adverse effects that social media has on kids these days, but let’s be honest. It’s us adults too!
Anywho….here are some shots we too, that are actually some of my favorites. We took them around our “nightly walk” route, so it’s kind of special to us, and I’m so sad to see these summer nights going away…
And…see that remote in Maya’s hand? Yup, I gave it to her and SHE took these pics! 🙂

Aren’t these the COOLEST FLOWERS?!! I found out that they are called the Passion Flower. I sooooo want to grow some, but I’d most likely kill them. 😦
The woman who owns the house happened to come by, and she said Maya could have one!

These pictures are gorgeous and that light is perfect!!! I had no idea your IG was blocked. What does that even mean? And yes, I’m limiting my time on there too.

Yeah, I noticed my engagement radically dropped over Labor Day weekend but thought it was just because of the holiday. Then, I noticed that only the same 20 people were liking/commenting-no new followers and I actually lost 40 followers over the course of a week. THEN, after googling, found out that there’s something called “Shadowbanning”. IG goes through and flags people if they do any number of things- like use programs to generate likes comments (I would never! or used banned hashtags (I think that must have been it?) In any case, it makes it so none of your images show up for non followers, and a bunch of innocent accounts had it happen after it asked us to enter a verification code… It lasted for about 3 weeks, but I’m unblocked now-yay! I was a little shocked at how frustrated I got. Made me think about taking a few steps back, and it was kind of a nice break…
